Roofer
North York, ON · Full-time, permanent · 8 positions
A fast-paced, physically demanding role: working under pressure, handling heavy loads, and working at heights with good hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime may be required.
Duties
- Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
- Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics and elastomeric or asphaltic compositions
- Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs
- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
- Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or masonry surfaces; instruct apprentices; erect scaffolding and working platforms
